Patty Donley joined WellSpan in 1994 and has expanded her leadership roles throughout her professional journey.
In her current role as senior vice president and chief nursing executive, Patty oversees the integration of new models of nursing care at scale and extending to our North Region, strengthen nursing innovation and research, and guide key nursing workforce initiatives to achieve sustainable advancements for our nurses.
Prior to serving as senior vice president and chief nursing executive, Patty served as vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer for WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital for five years before assuming the role of president with the hospital in February 2022. Patty’s extensive operational expertise helped guide significant improvements in patient experience and financial performance for the 163-bed acute care hospital. Patty’s leadership and commitment to advancing our workforce in Lebanon County was also instrumental in helping to secure the $1.5M donation from Jeanne and Ed Arnold to establish the Jeanne Donlevy Arnold Center for Nursing Innovation. The specialized center is focused on leveraging WellSpan’s innovation competency with a focus on transforming training, establishing next generation care models, leveraging artificial intelligence, and integrating digital technologies to support a thriving nursing workforce.
Patty is an active member of our Lebanon community – serving on the Lebanon Valley College Board of Trustees, the Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce Board the Lebanon County Christian Ministries Board, and the South Lebanon Township Zoning Board.
Patty holds a diploma in nursing from Saint Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Lebanon Valley College, her master’s degree from the University of Phoenix, and doctor of nursing degree from Vanderbilt University.
